Art Instructor

(Part-Time Contractor)

AAFA is seeking a qualified Art Instructor to deliver structured, skill-based visual arts instruction for K–12 students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach foundational and advanced techniques in drawing, painting, mixed media, or sculpture

  • Guide students in developing observation, composition, and creative thinking skills

  • Provide constructive feedback to strengthen technical ability and artistic expression

  • Support students in building portfolios and independent creative confidence

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging studio environment

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational art skills and technical proficiency

  • Prior teaching or studio instruction experience preferred

  • Ability to design structured lesson plans and progressive curriculum

  • Professional, organized, and reliable

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Writing Instructor

(Part-Time Contractor)

AAFA is seeking a qualified Writing Instructor to deliver structured, skill-based writing instruction for K–12 students.

Responsibilities

  • Teach grammar, sentence structure, paragraph development, and composition

  • Guide students through narrative, expository, and analytical writing

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve clarity, organization, and voice

  • Support students in developing confidence and strong written expression

  • Maintain a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment

Qualifications

  • Strong grammar and composition skills required

  • Demonstrated writing proficiency

  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred

  • Familiarity with Common Core writing standards

  • Professional, organized, and reliable

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
