American Academy of Fine Arts (aafa) was an art studio founded in 2013 in Virginia, not only to encourage appreciation and teaching of the classical style, but also to encourage exploration of new technologies and imaginations. Even for talented artists, there are no shortcuts to a proper foundational education using traditional methods. At aafa, young artists will learn art fundamentals, enrich their sense of art, identify with one another, expand their notion of what we are, and show that individual engagement in the world has actual consequences.
